All Natural Homemade Diaper Rash Cream

I wish I had started making this All Natural Homemade Diaper Rash Cream when my first child was born. Just think of all the money I could have saved! But now that we have our third little one, who is still in diapers, I’m happy to have finally discovered how to make my own natural diaper cream, and am excited to share it with you! Better yet, it only takes two ingredients and is super simple to make!

Homemade Diaper Cream Essential Oils

Just a quick note before I start. Coconut Oil turns liquid-y above 76 degrees, and firm below 76 degrees. You’ll want to store your jar in cool, dark place.

Ingredients

Lavender Essential Oil

Pure Coconut Oil

In a small glass container, such as a small bowl, or small mason jars, add 1/2 cup of coconut oil and microwave for 5-10 seconds until soft (if it’s firm). Add 5 drops of Lavender Oil and stir.

Crazy-easy, right? And why do I use Lavender Essential Oil? Well, it has antiseptic and antifungal properties, and is used to help various skin disorders such as acne, wrinkles, psoriasis, and other inflammatory conditions. It is commonly used to speed up the healing process of wounds, cuts, burns, and sunburns because it improves the formation of scar tissues. Pretty awesome stuff!
