These Butterfly Cupcakes are perfect for Spring, and even Easter! Not to mention incredibly easy to make. You can make yours from scratch, but I chose to use Pillsbury Strawberry Moist Supreme and the Pillsbury Cream Supreme Strawberry Frosting, since that’s what I had in the pantry and needed to do something with it. And my six-year-old daughter helped, which she totally loved doing and thought these were the cutest cupcakes ever!
* Pillsbury Strawberry Moist Supreme Cake Mix
* Your choice of candy (Easter M&M’s, Sixlets, Marshmallows)
* Black or Red licorice laces or regular (I used regular and sliced mine)
* Mini Pretzels
* Pillsbury Cream Supreme Strawberry Frosting
Prepare the cupcakes as directed on box. Let them cool completely before frosting. Take two mini pretzels and place on the top in the middle to make the “wings.” Add three pieces of candy or marshmallows down the middle. Stick two small strips of licorice on the “head” to make the antennae.
