Celebrate Shark Week with these cute Shark & Fish Cupcakes! What a fun shark week recipe for kids to make!
Be careful what you “fish” for! It’s Shark Week, and to celebrate, make these deliciously fun Shark and Fish Cupcakes with Swedish Fish Gummies!
Ingredients
- 1 C. sugar
- 1⁄2 C. butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1⁄2 C. flour
- 2 tsp. Baking powder
- 1⁄2 C. milk
- 2 tsp. Vanilla
- 1 container of white frosting
- blue food coloring
- yellow food coloring
- red Swedish fish candies
- blue shark gummy candies
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
#1. Combine the sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and eggs and mix well. Stir in flour and baking powder. Mix well. Once mixed, add 34 drops of blue food coloring. The yellow egg in the batter will help turn the mixture into a seafoam green color.
#2. Pour into greased 24ct. cupcake tin or liners. Bake 2025 minutes.
#3. While the cupcakes are baking add 2 drops of yellow food coloring and 2 drops of blue food coloring to the white frosting and mix well. This combination will make a pretty seafoam green color to match your cupcakes.
#4. Once the cupcakes are completely cooled frost each one and add a gummy shark or a red Swedish fish to each one.
*Store in an airtight container up to 1 week. Makes approximately 24 cupcakes. 1 cupcake = 1 serving.
