Anyone else feeling the Summer heat? The temperatures are rising, the weather is warm and perfect and the days are lazy and filled with outdoor activities, I mean it can’t get any better than that, right? Except that I spend the day craving something refreshing and cold, so I decided to take the matter into my hands and make some ice cream. Some Double Chocolate Brownie Batter Ice Cream.
Indulgent? Check, decadent? Check. Crowd favorite? Check absolutely delicious? Check, check, check. Seriously guys this ice cream is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tried (ice cream wise), and I’m questioning myself why I didn’t make it before.
First, it’s way beyond creamy. Creamy is something that in my opinion, all good ice creams should be and this one totally delivers that. Second, it’s packed to the brims with chocolate flavor, and I’m not talking about a so-so flavor I’m talking about an explosion of chocolate and fudginess that’s almost like frozen brownies. So good, my friend, so good. And finally, it’s the fact that Double Chocolate Brownie Batter Ice Cream is one of those things that seems like super difficult but it’s actually incredibly easy to make.
To make it taste like a brownie, I’m using cocoa powder and melted chocolate. Using both of those ingredients as opposed to one or the other is what packs this recipe with so much chocolate flavor + the melted chocolate gives it a lot of the creamy, fudgy, brownie batter like texture. I’m also adding a bit of vanilla extract to make the chocolate flavor shine even more.
Then just cool it up according to your ice cream maker and once it’s done serve it in a large bowl with a generous drizzle of chocolate syrup and let everyone grab some.
Wondering what I use to store my homemade ice cream in? I use one of these loaf pans!
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
