Looking for a fun Easter treat to take for your child’s class snack day? These super cute Chocolate Chick Cupcakes are just what the Easter Bunny ordered! These are very easy to make – don’t let the chocolate chicks on top intimidate you!
Vanilla Cupcakes
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1.5 tsp pure vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup milk
Preheat oven to 350F.
In a medium sized bowl mix together flour and baking powder. Set aside.
In a stand mixer cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Add vanilla and eggs and beat until smooth.
Add flour mixture in small batches with a part of the milk. Alternate between flour and milk until fully mixed.
Bake 15-20 mins until an inserted toothpick comes clean.
Chocolate Chicks
¼ cup Wilton yellow chocolate
4 pieces Wilton orange chocolate
Candy eyes
Parchment paper
Melt yellow chocolate as per directions on package.
Place in a squeeze bottle and squeeze an even circle onto parchment paper.
Carefully place eyes and let set for 30 mins.
Melt orange chocolate as per directions on package.
Place in a squeeze bottle and make beak by applying softly in layers on top of the chocolate. Let set.
Instructions:
Ice cupcakes with your favorite buttercream frosting, sprinkle with coconut and place chocolate chicks on top!
