Essential Oil Rosemary Lemon Body Scrub

One of my new favorite ways to use essential oils is in my own body scrubs, like this Essential Oil Rosemary Lemon Body Scrub recipe! This also makes for an amazing gift, too. I know if someone gave me a personal, homemade gift like this, I’d be delighted!

  1. Personal homemade gifts are the best gifts of all. If you put it in a cotton bag with a nice ribbon, lace or label, it will be complete!

  2. Hi Debbie – sure, that sounds like a great idea! Although I wouldn’t know the ratios. Love it though!!

  3. Hi, I was looking so forward to making my first salt scrubb and tried your today. Your pictures are beautiful and i love the smell of lemon & fresh rosemary. Your recipe was easy to follow, unfortunately, when i used the coconut oil I lost the smell of the lemon and rosemary. Maybe i was suppose to use fractunated coconut oil. Anyway i thought you might like to know or maybe let me know what i might have done wrong.
    Thank you

  4. I have made tons of DIY personal care products over the years….although I have made scrubs in the past…it seems all the recipes now are saying to add some type of oil which I have never done, only essential oils, not coconut, almond, etc….so if one is using these in the shower isn’t the oil getting the floor of the shower slippery?

  5. If you don’t want the coconut smell, use refined. It’s still healthy and doesn’t have a strong coconutty smell. As for the oil in the shower it is mixed with the salt and doesn’t make it slippery. I’ve never experienced any issues.
