Pizza + dipping sauce? Yes, please! It’s not just for breadsticks, folks. Whip up my delicious Pineapple Ranch Dressing Dip recipe, which pairs perfectly with Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza.
I don’t know about you, but we have pizza night every week at our house. Usually on Friday, because after a long week at work and school, I love being able to pull some pizza out of the freezer and pop it into the oven, all at a fraction of the time and cost of delivery.
It’s pretty much a tradition at our house – pizza and movie night! But another tradition I’ve kind of started is pizza dipping sauce – you’ll never find me eating a slice without dip. I love dipping my pizza into something. Sometimes I’ll just use regular ole’ ranch dressing, but I decided I wanted to do something different this week.
And I am so glad I ventured outside the norm. I mean, what other perfect dip for Canadian bacon and ham pizza than Pineapple Ranch Dip!
First thing you need to do is pick up some Freschetta Naturally Rising Canadian Bacon and Pineapple pizza at Walmart (it’s freshness you can taste!) – seriously, trust me on this, get this kind. You can even get a Ibotta Cash Back Rebate here on it.
You’ll find the Freschetta easily in the frozen food section.
Second, grab all your ingredients for the dip –
here’s what you need:
Homemade Pineapple Ranch Dip
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup pineapple juice (I just use a can of sliced pineapples and add some chunks in, too!)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Making it is incredibly easy – if you’ve never made homemade ranch dressing, then you need to start. This is a great base recipe for whatever other concoction you want to turn it into, like what I did.
All you do is add all ingredients to a medium bowl and whisk together until thoroughly combined. You can even gradually add in more buttermilk until you’ve reached the consistency you like. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
