Mornings are pretty chaotic in our household. I have three little ones, ranging from age eight to three, and trying to get everyone out of bed, fed, dressed and off to school can be challenging to say the least. One thing I started doing lately was preparing meals on Sunday, so I can just pop them in the microwave/toaster/slow cooker or oven. This makes it especially easy for breakfast, because I’m still practically a zombie in the morning, and you will never find me making eggs and bacon and homemade biscuits Monday through Friday at 7am in this house!
We already know how crucial it is to eat breakfast to get a good head start to the day, and I like to make things that not only taste delicious, but are nutritious to boot. In fact, I was inspired to make these yummy Flourless Chocolate Banana Blender Pancakes using the chocolate flavored powder (which you can freeze beforehand and pop in the toaster the next morning).
Yup, I said flourless! And, made with bananas and chocolate Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Light Start™ powder. That’s only three ingredients needed for this yummy breakfast (or if your kids are like mine, as a snack, too).
In case you were wondering, Carnation Breakfast Essentials® packets are available in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, chocolate malt and dark chocolate. They’re also available in their new Light Start™ packets in chocolate and vanilla that have a lower calorie count. In addition to being super convenient for a family on the go, they’re also super versatile, just like in this recipe! Add the packets to recipes such as smoothies, muffins, cookies and anything else you can think of! You’ll be surprised at just how delicious it can be!
I know just how crazy the morning can be, especially when it comes to getting a household ready for school and work. It can be tough to squeeze in a nutritional meal before carting everyone off to school but with Carnation Breakfast Essentials® you have an option that is fast, easy and tasty.
