Quick & Easy Savory Three Cheese Biscuits

Ingredients:

2 cups of baking mix. A brand like Bisquick mix works well.
2/3 cup milk
¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup shredded Colby jack cheese
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese or asiago cheese
2 tablespoons butter, softened

You can use whichever three cheeses you prefer of course, but we find that this selection works well together. You can also add optional garlic if you wish. Just add about ¼ of a teaspoon of garlic powder (more or less depending on your tastes) to the ingredient list.

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
2. While your oven is heating, mix the above ingredients into a mixing bowl. A soft, sticky dough will form.
3. On an ungreased cookie sheet, drop spoonfuls of the dough. The dough will spread lightly when warmed so be careful not to drop your spoonfuls too close together.
4. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes. When about two minutes are left, you can sprinkle the biscuits with more shredded cheese if you wish.

Brush with melted butter while still warm. Remove and allow the biscuits to cool before serving.

These Three Cheese Biscuits are perfect with soups and stews, or even as an after school snack for the kids. They are so easy to make, and yet feel like something that Grandma would have spent all day in the kitchen preparing. So gather your ingredients and give these a try. They are sure to become a new favorites!
